Why study economics ?

Economics views the world from a different perspective. Economists think about the world differently than most other people. This alternative perspective will help you examine the motives for many of the things we do in society. After studying economics, it should be clear that there are better alternatives to many of the policies our political leaders choose.

If our society has a better understanding of economics (and if we use this understanding when electing our political leaders), then we can benefit from making better choices.
